Ramstorp, Nossebro Come and build a circular farm with us! Here we will live with as little impact as possible on the environment and climate. The hope is to become as self-sufficient as possible in terms of food and energy. There are currently two residential houses on the farm, but only one can be lived in for the moment. We plan to renovate the abandoned house next door and also build two small cabins so we can have more people on the farm to help with the farm chores. In the long run, we also want to build a small eco-village with small houses (max 60 sqm). The house available for rent today is about 70 sqm. On the ground floor, there are 2 rooms, a kitchen, and a bathroom. Upstairs there are an additional 2-3 rooms. Two are small and can be combined into one larger room. The house is older but functional. Today, the heating is done with wood and electric radiators, but we will also install an air heat pump on the lower floor to reduce the electricity cost for those who prefer not to always use wood heating. Cold rent: 8100 SEK Additional: help on the farm: 3h/week (1h/day, 3 days a week) Expect an additional 5000 SEK/month for electric heating (on an annual basis). If you choose to use wood heating, you should manage the heating for 2500 SEK/month. In that case, only household electricity is added. Water, sewage (for greywater), and waste collection are included. If land is desired for own animals or cultivation, it can be discussed. Otherwise, all land will be used for the farm's cultivation and animal husbandry, most of which will be used as pasture. As you understand, this rental is not like any other, as we also need help on the farm in addition to rent: 3h per week/adult. The help we need is monitoring the sheep/cows, setting up new pasture fences, and bringing water if it's not already there. The animals are priority 1, but help may also be needed with other farm chores, such as helping with the crops or scything for winter feed. So all adults on the farm need to be prepared to dedicate 1h/day, 3 days a week. In cases like scything, more time may be needed, but then you can take more time off another time. You will largely be able to decide when you can schedule this work time so it fits with your job and other planned activities. To protect the environment, our farm will be run as ecologically as possible. No spraying or artificial fertilizers on the land. For the same reason, we have dismissed the traditional WC where you use and pollute drinking water. Instead, there is a composting toilet. If you prefer to install a separett, freeze toilet, or another solution that does not pollute water, that is fine.
