Here is some information behind the name Pirtulinna: The three-story stone building located on Pursimiehen street in Reposaari is known as Pirtulinna. According to the story, its builder was a bootlegger who used money from his illegal businesses to construct the apartment building. It is said he paid laborers with bootleg liquor and sometimes served prison time for his bootlegging activities. He never lost the building to the state, and it remains in private ownership. Originally, Pirtulinna was full of small apartments that have since been combined into larger apartments, and the building is still residential. Bootlegging was so common in Reposaari that people came from afar to get illegal drinks.
