Small room available in a collective on Värmdö, Strömmadal, only 35 min by bus from Slussen! Do you want to live with 3 other social people near lakes, forest, and the sea but still close to the city? Your room has its own entrance and is located in the main house with shared access to the kitchen, toilet and shower, living room with stove, piano and projector, several terraces, and a garden with a sauna! Rent: 4500 SEK/month including wifi and all other bills. Surroundings: Beautiful forest plot, 10 min walk to two bathing lakes. Close to the sea and a small marina with two restaurants by Strömma canal. Transport: 10 min walk to the bus (3 min if you run, like Nanna). The bus ride from Slussen to Värmdö takes between 30-40 min depending on traffic, a smooth journey via the highway. Large shopping center in Mölnvik, 10 min by car, 15 min by bus. About us: Nanna (43 years old) works as a nurse in a palliative care unit and otherwise loves live music, cooking, dancing, and practicing Spanish. Elsa (41 years old) is a behavioral scientist, works with HR and culture, loves old movies, DJing, and crafting. Matthew (39 years old) grew up in California but prefers Sweden because of the weather. He likes sailing but generally prefers fixing boats and loves singing and cooking strange food. Elsa and Nanna bought the house eight years ago. We are good friends and we love the special forest plot without any overlooking neighbors, the proximity to nature, the sea, and yet close to the big city! We have all lived in collectives or other shared homes for most of our adult lives and thrive on it. Above all, we believe that a collective works best when everyone, without any social pressure, enjoys social togetherness and living collectively. Elsa and Matthew are home a lot but also move around a bit. Nanna works in the city and often stays with her partner. We have irregular working hours. As a collective, we have a rolling cleaning schedule every week and cook for each other when we are home at the same time. We have social lives and like to invite friends over for dinners and movie nights. Personal chemistry is the most important thing for us!
