We have a small and affordable room available in the main house on a beautiful farm in Røyken. Here lives a small community of people interested in yoga, meditation, permaculture, organic farming, and a conscious and calm lifestyle. About the room The room is about 6 square meters, with a slanted ceiling, and is located on the 2nd floor. It suits someone who doesn't need much space. The room is furnished, but you are welcome to bring some of your own furniture if you wish. The kitchen and bathroom are shared with the other residents. The room is available now or by agreement. The rent is 4,500 NOK per month, plus a service fee. Additionally, there is a fixed monthly amount for electricity (850 NOK) and water/sewage (350 NOK), totaling 1,200 NOK/month. The amount remains the same throughout the year, so higher electricity expenses in winter are balanced against lower expenses in summer. Lease agreement, deposit, and rent payment are securely handled via Qasa. I also have a similar room that will be available eventually, and a larger room of about 14 square meters for 6,000 NOK per month. Both have their own advertisement on Qasa and FINN. Location It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the bus stop near old Røyken. To Røyken station, it's about a 30-minute walk or 10–15 minutes by bike. The train from there takes 40–45 minutes to Oslo. About the living environment This is a peaceful and stable living environment, with room for both community and privacy. People who appreciate nature, silence, simplicity, and respect for each other live here. Course weekends and retreats Several weekends a year, up to around 12, and additionally one or two retreats, quiet courses are held in the living rooms of the main house. This is done respectfully as the house is also a home for those who live here. There is no expectation that you participate, but for those interested, there are wonderful opportunities: You can join the morning practice during course weekends. You can attend courses and trainings at a discounted price. You can help with cooking for the courses and get a reduction in rent for the months you contribute. All this is completely voluntary and agreed upon in advance. The room suits someone who enjoys a peaceful environment and doesn't mind that there is occasionally a bit more activity in the house on some weekends.
