About the property: Built in 1947 for the account of Lagans Yllefabrik. It was then divided into several worker's residences. Later, the house was converted into a single-family house. We moved in November 2024. The entrance floor consists of a large living room, kitchen, and toilet. Adjacent to the kitchen is a built-in terrace. The upper floor consists of two bedrooms and an office, which is currently furnished as a bedroom. The largest bedroom has been newly renovated (2026). The property is connected to municipal water but also has its own well with a pump for irrigation. The plot is just over 1500 sqm and the area is quiet and family-friendly with close proximity to nature. Pleasant neighborhood. 10 minutes to Ljungby by car. One kilometer to the elementary school (Åbyskolan) and bus stop. Two kilometers to Ica in Lagan. The heating is geothermal. Solar panels 8kw and battery 5kwh were installed at the beginning of 2026. Can be left fully or partially furnished during the stay by agreement. Included in the rent: Broadband, washing machine, dryer, furniture (fully or partially), robotic lawnmower, lawnmower, trimmer and various tools. We hope you can take care of the two super-friendly cats that live on the property until we return. This can be negotiated. They have their own hatch into one of the storage rooms in the basement and an automatic cat feeder, so their maintenance is minimal. Cold rent. With a geothermal heat pump and solar panels/battery, you still manage quite lightly concerning heating costs. We rent out the property for one year with the possibility of extension for 6 months. The reason for the rental is that one of us is employed by the Canadian Coast Guard and must work for one year after receiving parental allowance during parental leave according to the contract. We have been able to postpone it for 5 years through unpaid leave but must now fulfill our part of the contract.
