The log-constructed detached house in Helsinki's Mellunkylä is available for rent from 1.12.2026, located in a peaceful small house area. The house has two newly renovated bedrooms, a spacious living room, kitchen, renovated dining area, sauna, separate toilet, a generously sized walk-in closet, and a cellar. The plot is as large as 1200m2, providing plenty of space for activities and even gardening if desired. There are apple trees in the yard. The house itself is charming, with a touch of old-time atmosphere but partially renovated, and thanks to the air-source heat pump, it's easy to adjust the temperature to be comfortable both in winter and summer. If the tenant wishes, additional renovations (e.g., kitchen) can be done, but these are not mandatory or urgent, as the house is fully habitable as it is. The house heats economically with an air-source heat pump. The annual electricity consumption has been 10,000 - 15,000 kwh, keeping the electricity usage quite reasonable. It's possible to agree on an electricity advance payment and billing based on actual consumption (as is done with water), so there's no need to fear high electricity bills in the more expensive months. With the above-mentioned consumption, electricity bills have totaled approximately 1500-2000 euros per year, keeping living expenses humane. This equals about 150 euros monthly electric bills if the total cost for the year is evenly divided by the number of months. The current tenant pays an electricity advance of 160 euros per month and is, according to the current forecast, expecting a refund. The neighborhood is home to many families with children, and excellent jogging opportunities in nature open directly next to the house.
