The nature and surroundings in the little village are very beautiful. Saltor peninsula stretches far into the archipelago and offers a fantastic opportunity even when you don't have access to a boat. Bring a large picnic basket and the day will be perfect. Day trips for example: Kalmar Castle, Glasriket, Vimmerby with "Astrid Lindgren's World" or Öland Zoo/Amusement Park. Timmernabben 7km: Popular Candy Factory: Råsnäs with its good handmade candies. Fresh fish shop / restaurant with good food is located at the harbor. Within 1km reach you can: *- Experience the idyllic Pataholm with its summer café and its interesting history. *- Bathe at one/several smaller and family-friendly bathing places in Korpemåla, 900m, Saltor or Fågelsudd (3km). *- Walk out on the wonderful Saltorsudde peninsula and find "your own" sunny spot out in the archipelago. *- Fish in the bay. *- Rent a canoe and paddle up in the Alsterån. *- Go in the forest with mushroom and picnic basket.
