We are going to live abroad for a year and are looking for a nice family to take over our house while we are away. A NEIGHBORHOOD YOU WILL LOVE Høyenhall is simply a children's paradise. Quiet streets, parks, and families with children in every direction. Kids run back and forth to each other on their own from the age of 4-5, and there is always someone to play with. We have lived here for a long time, and honestly, it's hard to imagine a better place to grow up. It is a safe and very pleasant neighborhood with several green areas. It feels like a small village, but the city center is only 10 minutes away by bus, subway, or bike. There is also a direct bus from Manglerud to Gardermoen. In the local area, you will find everything you need: - Høyenhall primary and secondary school right nearby - Three kindergartens within short walking distance - Kiwi (4 min) and Rema 1000 (6-7 min) - Manglerudsenteret and Bryn Center with lots of shops - Manglerud Bad – a nearly new swimming hall that the kids will love - Manglerud junior and youth club - Sports offerings for pretty much everything you can think of, for both children and adults - Short distance to Østensjøvannet recreation area and trails to Østmarka ABOUT THE HOUSE Vertically divided half of a semi-detached house over three floors, with a garden both in front and back, and a garage with charging option plus extra parking space. 1st floor – completely renovated in 2025 Bright, open, and very pleasant to be in. Brand new Kvik kitchen with island, new appliances, and lots of countertop space – it's delightful to cook here. Dining room with an extendable oak table that seats 12 people, or up to 20 if we add the extra table (which otherwise works well as a home office). Electric piano ready if someone in the family plays. TV room with 65" Samsung Frame. Hallway with good closet space. New parquet and underfloor heating throughout the floor. Nice and functioning fireplace. We also have a good selection of books available – much within art and history, and quite a bit of fiction. From the living room, you go straight out to a brand new veranda of about 30 m² with a dining table and sofa group – perfect for summer evenings. This becomes like an extra room in the summer months. Stairs down to the garden. 2nd floor Three bedrooms and a bathroom with shower. The hallway and two of the bedrooms are newly painted in 2026. - Children's room with bed that has a sofa and closet underneath, as well as desk and wardrobe - Children's room (formerly master bedroom) with 150 cm bed, desk, wardrobe, and walk-in closet - Master bedroom with 180 cm continental bed from Svane and clothing storage We swapped the master bedroom and children's room so our teenager could have the largest room, but this can be swapped back. Separate basement lounge with TV and sofa – a perfect hangout spot for kids or teenagers. Extra guest/bedroom next door, with desk and wardrobe. Both rooms have large windows. Bathroom with washing machine, dryer, corner bathtub, and lots of closet space. Underfloor heating throughout the floor. Pets are allowed. The rental period is from approximately 15.07.26–15.07.27, but we are flexible on the exact dates. We hope to find a family who will enjoy it here as much as we do!
