Hello! We (Daniel, Erik, Grace, Ettore, and Aude) in the Collective Nest in Ulleråker, Uppsala, are looking for a new member! -------------------------------------------------------------- Our large yellow wooden house is located right by the nature reserve in Ulleråker, which leads into Årike Fyris. We have plenty of space: in addition to our rooms, which are spread over two floors, there are four toilets and two bathrooms (one with a bathtub), a large open kitchen/living room, an attic where we all have our own storage, and a basement. We also have a library, a guest room, and the possibility for gardening at home in our garden. As a collective, we share a weekly cleaning schedule, regular house meetings, and various household responsibilities (e.g., one person is responsible for paying the internet, another organizes the rent, etc.). We care about each other and how we feel, and we appreciate open communication and a good atmosphere among us. We share cooking and daily chores and like to hang out. We have a rotating meal schedule four evenings a week. We share the food costs through a common food fund. We who live here are a mix of vegans, vegetarians, and omnivores. We are mainly looking for people who can live here for at least a year and preferably someone who is at least 26 years old and can speak Swedish, but the most important thing is the whole and the willingness to create a nice home together. Another thing to know about our collective is that we do not sublet our rooms, as we want to create a safe and homely atmosphere without constant changes. A little about us: Erik, 46, works with IT and sustainability. He likes gardening, loves swing dancing, playing music, and improvisational theater. Daniel, 31, works in a secondhand store. He is passionate about traveling to new places, reading books, performing improv theater, and engaging in various Burning Man-related events. Grace, a biologist researching how plant communities are affected by microclimates and soil. She is very social and loves organizing social events. On weekends and evenings, she learns languages, hikes, climbs, and travels. Ettore, 34, is passionate about cooking and reducing food waste. He loves being in nature, hiking, climbing, and picking wild plants. He loves music and the alternative music scene, is constantly curious and willing to learn practical skills. Aude (pronounced ‘Odd’), is a 32-year-old biologist interested in science, nature, and crafts. When she's not doing scientific stuff, she is out hiking, thrifting, or crocheting. Are you interested?
