Lillgatan, Strängnäs

The house is located in the old Cultural Quarters and dates back to the 18th century. The entire block consists of red-painted houses, as does this one. The house was renovated in the early 1970s by my father who was an artist. There is a nice garden with lilacs, peonies, and apple trees. The garden is completely secluded. The rooms are small and the ceilings are low, which creates a cozy feeling, but of course, it doesn't suit someone who is very tall. From the hall, a staircase leads up to the kitchen and the other rooms. There is another small staircase, so it might not be very convenient to live here if you have difficulty walking. Heating is provided by an air-to-air heat pump that can be supplemented with electric elements when it gets very cold. The tenant signs their own electricity subscription. Water and garbage collection are included in the rent. The house is centrally located in Strängnäs and is close to everything, such as the train station, shops, Lake Mälaren. On the property, there is a detached house that used to be my father's studio. The reason for keeping the house and renting it out is precisely the studio. I will visit it from time to time. I have set the move-in date to October 1, but earlier move-in discussions can take place.
