I'm renting out my cozy apartment in Vålerenga from September to around May/June 2027, while I'm in South America to study Spanish. I'm flexible on the move-out date in the spring – April, May, June, or July works fine, so you can adjust to the spring semester. About the apartment Bright and quiet apartment with large windows and deep window sills that let in morning sun and plenty of light all day. The view is of Etterstad allotment gardens, completely private, and incredibly cozy to look out on. Good insulation and perfect indoor climate year-round: never cold in winter or warm in summer. The oven under the window keeps the whole apartment warm through the winter. The kitchen is newly renovated in 2025 with IKEA fittings, new stove and hob, fridge with freezer compartment, large sink, and dishwasher. Washing machine (fixed before moving in), espresso machine, and microwave can stay if desired. The bathroom has a new shower cabin, sink, and toilet. Good wardrobe space in the hallway, and I will put up a few more shelves in the hallway, bathroom, and main room before moving in. The sleeping solution is a Hovden sofa bed from Bohus (140 cm mattress) with Italian-designed mechanics. It's incredibly easy to pull out, fits a duvet and 1-2 pillows inside. From bed to sofa in under two seconds! Electronic lock with chip, bicycle parking by the entrance, and communal outdoor area. Included in the rent: electricity, internet, water, and heating. Neighborhood and connections Vålerenga is a quiet, super cozy neighborhood known for the many cats that wander the streets. Right by Vålerenga park with a football field and basketball court, and a five-minute walk to Kampen, where you'll find some of Oslo's best cafes. One minute to the bus stop for the 37-bus and 100/110, and a 7-minute walk to the Ensjø metro stop with all lines except line 5. City bike parking right outside. Very central, yet in a quiet and green area.
