Storholmsvägen, Lidingö

The house, which is a guest house to a larger house on the same plot, is located on Storholmen, an archipelago island with unique proximity to central Stockholm. It takes about 40 minutes to get from the island to Stockholm C by public transportation (ferry and subway). If you want to combine a life in Stockholm with complete tranquility in the archipelago, this is the place for you. STORHOLMEN: Storholmen is an island, located just outside of Lidingö. In about 90 of the island's 250 properties, people live year-round. Many commute daily to and from work and school in the city with the SL ferry. A pleasant trip that takes about 25 minutes to Ropsten (which is a hub for the subway and several bus lines). In the morning, coffee is offered on the ferry. There is a nice restaurant by the water, with varying hours during the year, every day during the summer and weekends during the off-season. There is also a small shop with the same opening hours as the restaurant. There are several commons on the island, including a nice beach on the southern part of the island. It is not allowed to drive motor vehicles on (without special permission), so Storholmen is a uniquely calm and peaceful place, with proximity to both natural areas and central Stockholm. NOTE – The only way to reach the island is by boat (own or with the SL ferry from Ropsten or Lidingö). There is therefore no road connection to the island. However, the ferry easily takes you back and forth to the city, from early morning to late evening. It stops in Ropsten (25 minutes from Storholmen) and from there it takes 10 minutes by subway to Stockholm Central Station/T-centralen. Direct buses also run from Ropsten to Stockholm University. THE HOUSE: The house is fresh and cozy, about 30² m. Perfect for one person or a couple. It is well-planned and spacious, with plenty of storage space and flexible furnishing. It has wooden floors, high ceilings and there is a fireplace. Currently, it is furnished with a sofa bed (which easily turns into a comfortable 140-bed), an armchair, coffee table, dining table + chairs, wardrobe and bookshelves. The small kitchen is fully equipped, with stove (2 plates), oven, fridge, freezer, coffee maker, glasses, porcelain, pots etc. There is a bathroom with toilet, sink and shower. The house also has a very nice porch and its own secluded garden. The rent includes electricity and water.
