The Ekudden collective in southern Småland is now looking for more people who want to become part of the house! The doors are opening up and we welcome both single individuals, couples, smaller families, or a larger group. It is time to fill the house with new life, and whether you are looking for temporary accommodation or a new place to call your own, you are warmly welcome to get in touch! Ekudden is a charming manor from the 1920s, 3 floors and located in a scenic spot at the end of the Möckelsnäs peninsula just north of Älmhult. It is a fantastic location with a lake view, private sandy beach, dock, large plot, surrounded by deciduous forest and a nature reserve. There are great opportunities for cultivation, room for pets and chickens, plenty of rooms in the house with a total of 9 bedrooms and a range of other common areas. Canoes are also available to explore all the islands of Möckeln. There are commuting possibilities to Älmhult, Växjö, Ljungby, Hässleholm, etc. from the nearest train station Diö, 7 km away. The forest road out here is slightly winding, so having a car is recommended. The current rent is 4000 SEK/person, including electricity, internet, heating, and some other household expenses. If more people move in, there is an opportunity for lower rent. :) We are looking for stable, kind, and respectful people who like to socialize but also respect alone time. It's a bonus if you are a nature person, creative, enjoy excursions, watching movies, cooking together, and gardening. There is room for everyone to have their own nook, but our common areas want to be filled with laughter, creativity, conversation, and warmth. We are looking for someone who, like us, considers it a given that we all help take care of our shared home, helping out with chopping wood, mowing the grass, cleaning up, organizing, and other tasks related to living in a house. We care about a safe and pleasant living environment - therefore, the residence is drug-free. Looking forward to meeting our new collectivists!
