We live on the ground floor and rent out the upper floor, which consists of 1 bedroom and a living room with a balcony. The bathroom with toilet is on the ground floor. We share the kitchen with the tenants when we are home and not away. The rent includes water, electricity, waste management, and house insurance. Malmö/Trelleborg are 15 minutes by car in either direction. Otherwise, there are local trains that are about a 20-minute walk to the station and about 20 minutes in either direction. In the winter, there is a bus that goes to the station. The bus stop is by our gate. We are in the housing queue for an apartment and will sell the house when we find the right home (in about 3 years). We also have a dog (hypoallergenic) but they are never on the upper floor and do not meet our lodgers.
