Hi! We are looking for a new tenant around the start of the semester (1st of September). We are an LGBTQ+ friendly household with two cats and a kid. We have a two storey apartment. On the first floor there’s a kitchen, small dining room and a big 20 m2 room that we rent out, mostly to international students. There’s a toilet and shower on the same floor. We reside mostly upstairs where we have our living room, bedroom and toilet. The layout is perfect for renting out on the downstairs level. What we are looking for: Long term tenants. We have had students living with us 5 times, most often 2 years at a time, say during a masters program. We do not appreciate changing tenants too often, so please be sure you are staying for at least a year, or even better 2-3 years. We are not looking to share a household, we make our own food - you make yours. We appreciate if you don’t cook for hours everyday. There will be space set aside for you in the kitchen and bathroom. The rent include everything but your own toilet paper and food (i.e, heating, water, electricity, internet). If you want we can provide towels and linen. We can also provide references from previous tenants if you think you need them. The room: The room is quite big, it used to be a living room. 20m2. There’s space for a double bed, a desk and drawers, a small sofa and TV, bookshelves and two wardrobes. The room comes furnished. We are not pedantic in anyway (we have cats and a kid) but you can’t leave dishes lying around as we too use the sink. You are free to use the dining area to eat or if you have a project that needs space. We have a blackboard next to where we eat if you are into drawing or want to follow a mathematical query. Our neighbours are very friendly and there’s space to have a barbecue outside. We would prefer it if you like cats, or rather, you will benefit from being okey with the two cats. Our closet tram stop is where the tram to Chalmers and Sahlgrenska goes directly. But it is easy to change and go to any of the universities. You can go by bicycle too. We have a big supermarket only 400m from the house, Systembolaget (liquor store) is next to it. Our local centre is Redbergsplatsen and Olskroken where there’s some restaurants and pubs. About us: We both work at the local universities, Mattias as a lecturer in mathematics at Chalmers and myself (Siri) as a clinical sexologist doing my PhD at the department of social work on sexual and gender minorities and online wellbeing. We’re very open minded people and will help you out if you need help around the city or perhaps coming along to IKEA. We go away quite a lot. We have a small house in the countryside. Sometimes we work from there longer periods of time. If you are interested, please send a DM and introduce yourself.
